We recognize the deep oppression and injustice that has and continues to exist in our society. We prioritize creating space for people and communities harmed by systemic barriers to support them in fully expressing their inherent gifts.

Healthy Communities

We believe that the physical, emotional, and spiritual health of humanity and our planet are profoundly intertwined. We support leaders who are committed to strengthening the health and resilience of their communities so all can thrive.

Healthy Ecosystems

We value our relationship with the earth. We work to restore, regenerate, and protect the elements that sustain all life by reducing the harmful toxic substances polluting our water, soil, air, and bodies.

Our Focus

Dragonfly Ventures is currently focused on two areas that we feel best positioned to address and are ripe for intervention and direct action.

  • We support solutions designed to limit, reduce, and eventually eliminate harmful human-created chemicals that negatively impact human and planetary health.

  • We prioritize support for women, Black, Indigenous and people of colour led- and serving groups in recognition of the long history of underfunding to these communities.

We take an integrated approach, starting with how best to express our values and address our focus areas. We seek to apply the most helpful financial and non-financial tools informed by and in relationship with community leaders implementing the work on the ground.

Our spectrum of engagement includes direct private investments, community bonds and funds, impact funds, shareholder engagement, charitable grants, sponsorships, research, and hosting strategic convenings, among others. We are continuously learning and applying those learnings.
